Prayer and Reflection

At Norton there are several areas in or ourside the school site where children can take the opportunity to develop skills of personal reflection and to explore prayer in an open, inclusive and safe environment. Children are able to take a few moments throughout their week for personal reflection. This may be in the classroom reflection area, in our outdoor classroom, the space to be garden or at the Jubliee garden where children enjoy Forest School activities.

Father in heaven,

We thank you for the amazing, beautiful world you created. Help us to care for it.

We thank you for the wonderful, unique people you have made us to be. Help us to care for one another.

Our Lunchtime Prayer – Johnny Appleseed

Oh the Lord is good to me,

And so I thank the Lord,

For giving me the things I need,

The sun and the rain and the appleseed,

Yes, He’s been good to me!

End of day – Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
