Friends
Who are we?
We are a charity fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school, who raise funds for the benefit of our children at Norton in Hales school. We help to provide those extras that enhance our children’s time spent at school.
All parents automatically become a member of Friends when their child joins the school.
What do we do?
We meet around once a term to organise events such as Discos, Coffee Mornings, Christmas Fayres, Family Events, BBQ’s etc. Throughout the year we also run fundraising 'Bags2school' collections, personalised Christmas Cards and much more!
Through such events we have raised several thousands of pounds in the last few years. These funds have enabled the school to provide extra, valuable resources for the children to use. Some of the things we have been able to provide are:-
- Annual Subscription to Sumdog (A fantastic maths resource)
- Annual Subscription to Cybercoach (A fantastic PE resource)
- Annual Subscription to 5 a day TV
- Upgrading Playground Equipment & Appearance of school
- Educational resources - No Nonsense Spelling Programme, Engaging Science
- Coach Trip to Pantomime
- Contribution towards the Library Service
